Spring Has Sprung: Goings-On At the Tit

Posted on

Spring has sprung, even if it doesn’t feel like it in many places, given the way we’re headed in our frozen handbasket.  Whisk(e)y Tit remains committed to nursing you through these trying times, and we may be in your area soon to take ablutions with you.  Here’s what we’ve got going on over the next month:

Thursday, March 23 (That’s Tonight!), in Ithaca NY
The Orbiting Art Ensemble will be improving to the poems of Whiskey Tit flagship author Jon Frankel (GAHA: Babes of the Abyss, The Man Who Can’t Die).  (But jesus, not SLAMMED or anything. Just gonna sing them). Ithacans:  More here.

Friday, March 24 (That’s Tomorrow!), in Bergen, Norway
Joey Truman (Postal Child, Killing the Math) is reading from Postal Child to a theatre full of Norwegians at BIT Teatergarasjen.  Straight from the bowels of the Brooklyn ghetto, American author and Findlay//Sandsmark performer Joey Truman reads from his new novel, Postal Child (Whiskey Tit 2016), a comedy of terror about young Whitey Whitlock, who wakes up one morning to find his mother dead of an overdose. More here.

Sunday, March 26 (That’s Sunday!), in New York, NY
Release party for Yarrow Paisley’s I, No Other! Come drink! And toast! And hear some reading!  Yarrow will be there, with patched-elbow suit jacket AND/OR grey turtleneck, waiting for you to grease his palms and pat him on the back.  I will be there, fleecing you.  And we may even have an extra special guest reader or two.  At Big Bar (75 E. 7th St, NYC) More here.

Saturday, April 8 (We think!), in New York, NY
Join us for the release and WORLD PREMIERE of Joey Truman’s KinderRinder.  We’re still working out the details on this, but you won’t want to miss it.

April 16 and 17 (HOO BOY!), in Austin, TX
We will be escaping the endless winter and going where the sun might shine for a couple of days.  Join Joey and Yarrow and special Austin-based author friends for a couple days of riotous reading.  Keep your eyes peeled.
