Spend Mother’s Day with Joey Truman in the lovely hamlet of Waitsfield Vermont

Whiskey Tit’s latest darling Joey Truman is coming to wake up the sleepy New England village of Waitsfield Vermont, this Sunday May 8.

Join us at 7:30 PM this Sunday, Mother’s Day, at the Big Picture in Waitsfield for Joey’s singular rendering of selections from his Postal Child, as well as a story or two about underground publishing and what it’s like to escape the traditional publishing universe.

Postal Child, the first in a new series by Brooklyn writer and musician Joey Truman, shows what might happen if Anne Frank had taken personal advice from Lolita, if the Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime was not a suburban dog but a bloodthirsty werewolf, if Moby Dick got drunk and slapped you right in the face.

Joey will be making a rare visit to Vermont. Last time he was here he got lost in a swamp during a thunderstorm with a six pack of beer. This time around, we’d rather not have to check him for leeches so we’ve invited him to read.

More on Postal Child here.
